Theta-Eta History
Our Chapter’s History
The Theta Eta Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity was founded by an intramural football team called the “Hot Dogs.” Before becoming a chapter of Kappa Sigma, they were Chi Sigma Epsilon. On February 16, 1963, they became a colony of Kappa Sigma. On June 1, 1963, the Theta Eta chapter was granted their charter making Kappa Sigma the first national fraternity on the campus. On June 1, 1966, the Kappa Sigma lodge was completed. The address of the lodge is 5721 West 32nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. Then, on January 31, 1982, the brothers and alumni held a mortgage burning party.
To date, Theta Eta has initiated nearly 600 brothers.
